6/365 - Totoro

I love Studio Ghibli's anime films. I watched many of more than one time.

5/365 - Blue tit

I love birds. When we lived in Kingston, England we had a bird feeder in our garden and it was a joy to wake up in the morning and watch them eating and singing.

4/365 - Robin

Back in England we had a very friendly robin in our garden. Almost every time we came out in our garden he will come over too in hope we had some food for him.

3/365 - Lavender badly done

I had another go at doing lavender but I'm still not happy with it. It would have to do though for today's watercolour.

2/356 - One step at a time

So today I felt brave and tried to do a poppy but that came out awful. Then I tried to watercolour a lavender and that looked awful too. I realised I have to take it one step at a time. So I'm back to backgrounds, playing with different techniques.

1/365 - Backgrounds, backgrounds

While we are on sabbatical I want to learn to watercolour. I have been trying to do so for the last 3 months but I keep dropping out. So I decided to commit myself to making one watercolour a day, this way I have to keep going until I get better at it.

My husband added a few lines to it and this is how it looks after his drawing:

The story of us

Last year things had gone a little stale at work for both me and my husband so we decided that, married for 2 years, still young and without children, we should take a leap of faith and head out and fulfil our dream to travel the world. After all, if you keep doing the same thing, chances are nothing will change right?

So, we devised a plan. When the lease on our rented house ended in September we were going to jump on a plane to Asia. That was the plan.

This is my watercolour kit.
